Foil Flower Centerpiece!
(as mentioned in previous posts, i strongly believe in collecting spare items that you can use for future projects. it’s so much cheaper, but spacious…)
Supplies you will need:
- many (hoarded?) disposable pie pans (shouldn’t be a prob for bakers!)
- scissors/xacto knife
- foam shape for the base (found at michaels)
- hot glue gun
- silver spray paint, optional (so you don’t see the foam base at all)
if you plan to spray paint the ball, do so a few hours before the project, as the
foam balls are porous and you don’t want to disturb the drying process.
now, cut edges off of pie pans (don’t even think about throwing the scraps away,
they’ll be handy in a minute) roll each pan into rose shapes. cut perfect circles out
of the remaining foil pieces and hot glue them to the bottom of the roses.
finally, coat the foam ball with a LOT of hot glue, and immediately place the rose
on. hold firm for a few minutes. repeat until your ball is covered with roses, would
look great in a big crystal bowl :)
